
Sara Aliza Eisen is an American television journalist currently associated with CNBC. She serves as anchor of the channel's shows 'Squawk in the Street as well as 'Closing bell'. Although she's from Ohio, she wasn't interested in markets or currencies in the time she was in college. She interned at ForexTV.com while she was a student at New York University. It was her first encounter working in business news during the experience. Later, she earned the master's degree in broadcast journalism at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. After that, she was able to complete an internship for four months with Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. When she returned to the US after which she started to work for Bloomberg's offices in New York. In the end, she was a TV anchor. CNBC employed her as a reporter in December 2013. Prior to her appointment at "Closing Bell as a correspondent, she worked as co-anchor on 'Worldwide exchange' and Power Lunch'. Eisen has been co-anchoring "Squawk on The Street" since the year 2014. Her main area of focus since joining CNBC has been global news for consumers.
