Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria Marina is an Romanian actor. She first made screen appearances by appearing in Sex Traffic, a Channel 4 film Sex Traffic and was the recipient of the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. She speaks French, German, English as well as Romanian fluently. Her mother is a professional instrument player. The father of the family is an actor and theater professor at one of Romania's top theater schools. The Romanian Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. In 2008, she was honoured as the 'European Shooting Star' European Shooting Star' by the European Film Promotion Board. She spent four years as professor of the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu. bAnamaria Marinca is an Romanian actress who was born on the 01st of April, 1978 in Iasi Romania. A performer who is of Romanian descendance, Anamaria Marinca made her debut on the screen with the British-Canadian TV film Sex Traffic for which she was awarded the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress. Alongside her impressive performance in her first film, the actress will also be remembered for role in the Romanian art-film 4 Months 3 Weeks and 2 Days which won her several laurels including the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. She played a Romanian actor in Cristian Mungiu's documentary 4 luni3 saptamani si 2 zile (four months, three weeks and two three weeks and two days) in which she was honored with an award of the Palme d'Or and other prizes during the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. In addition, she appeared in the film of Francis Ford Copola Youth Without Youth. In 2008 she appeared as Yasim Anwar in the BBC five-episode miniseries The Last Enemy. Marinca performed as Yasim in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, along with Boogie, the Romanian Drama Boogie. In the movie Fury (2014) in which she performed the role of Irma the German woman, who was Emma's aunt.
